Hello, and welcome to my site. I was always interested in alternative energy sources, there are plenty of them: solar, wind, geothermal to name a few. Solar energy generation is among the most developed now and this site is dedicated mostly to it. Unfortunately it is still quite expensive and not many people can afford a full blown house system for $50,000 which will allow you to forget about the grid. RV trailer owners enjoy solar power much more often that households, because smaller systems are required to support them and smaller means cheaper.
I hope you will find information on this site useful, I try to update this blog regularly and cover all the different questions related to technology, prices and different options available for solar electric systems. While most of the information is dedicated to RV systems, there are a few overall educational posts and there are some targeted to house owners. I hope one day everyone will have his own small power plant and be independent from big power generation corporations.
